# Extend Poll

## Command

```
/poll extend <poll> <duration>
```

## Description

> You may need to enable this feature on the dashboard or with [`/poll admin enable`](https://docs.utilbot.co/commands/poll/admin-poll).

Extends a running poll with the given Time. A poll can be extended by at most 1 year.

## Permission

`MANAGE_MESSAGES`

## Arguments

| Name | Type | Description | Sample Data |
| - | - | - | - |
| poll | String | The poll. Pick one of the running polls the bot suggests while you type (search by title), or paste the link or ID of the poll's message. | Title of the Poll |
| duration | String | Duration to extend the Poll by. Example: "1h" or "1d" | 1h |

>
> Polls no longer have a numeric ID in their footer. Polls are identified by their message.
